Although the ventral visual cortex receives many feedback-type inputs from subcortical structures such as the amygdala, the direct and indirect functional roles of these inputs have been neglected. The present study aims to identify the role of the amygdala in the representation of visual information related to sociality, values and emotions in the ventral visual pathway.
