As a result, two sporeless mutants were obtained with the dose of 50 Gy and 100 Gy. Frequency of sporeless mutation and other mutations including unfavorable traits suggested that under 50 Gy were thought to be adequate for developing sporeless mutants with sufficient quality for commercial use.
