However, in our previous report, we discovered this traditional method did not apply on detonation nanodiamond (DND), whereas NVC before annealing and after annealing remained the same, suggesting exceptional NVC formation mechanism for DND. To further investigate the reasons behind the phenomenon, a series of nanodiamond of various size were prepared in an attempt to unravel the unique properties of DND.
