However, a conventional PET scanner has a large gap between the detector blocks due to the box\nshape crystal geometry which resulted in a sensitivity loss. The aim of this study is to develop a trapezoid\ncrystal based small animal PET detector using subsurface laser engraving (SSLE) technique for high\nsensitivity and high resolution PET scanner research.\n[Methods]\nThe proposed trapezoidal geometry small animal DOI PET detector consists of a three trapezoid LYSO\nplates, and multi-pixel photon counters (MPPCs). The 0.9 mm thick LYSO plates were pixelized by SSLE\nin X-direction with pixel pitches of 1.02 mm and 1.707 mm at the top and bottom surfaces, respectively.\nThe LYSO in DOI direction was remained as continuous without SSLE processing. The SSLE processed\nLYSO plates were optically isolated each other by ESR reflector direction. The scintillation light from the\ntop and bottom surfaces of trapezoid LYSO crystal was readout by a 7×6 array MPPC (Pitch=2.4 mm), and\nan 8×4 array MPPC (Pitch=3.2 mm), respectively. In order to evaluate the DOI resolution, a collimated 511\nkeV photon was irradiated to the LYSO crystal (lead slit width=1.2 mm) for different DOI positions (2, 6,\n10, 14, and, 18 mm). The DOI resolution was calculated by using the signal amplitude ratio of the two\nMPPCs.\n[Results]\nAll the 15×3 LYSO crystals could be resolved clearly. The energy resolution and DOI resolution were\nmeasured to be less than 25% and 3.5 mm, respectively. The DOI ratio showed non-linear characteristics\ndue to the trapezoid crystal geometry.\n[Conclusion]\nIn conclusion, we demonstrated the feasibility of a trapezoid geometry small animal DOI PET detector\nusing SSLE technique. In the future, a prototype trapezoid geometry small animal PET scanner will be\ndeveloped.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10005_description_6":{"attribute_name":"会議概要(会議名, 開催地, 会期, 主催者等)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"第117回日本医学物理学会学術大会","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kang, Hangyu"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815293","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nishikido, Fumihiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815294","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshida, Eiji"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815295","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sakai, Toshiaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815296","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamaya, Taiga"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815297","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kang, Hangyu","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815298","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nishikido, Fumihiko","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815299","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshida, Eiji","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815300","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamaya, Taiga","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"815301","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"conference object","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_c94f"}]},"item_title":"Initial results of trapezoid geometry small animal DOI PET detector using SSLE","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Initial results of trapezoid geometry small animal DOI PET detector using SSLE"}]},"item_type_id":"10005","owner":"1","path":["29"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2019-12-19"},"publish_date":"2019-12-19","publish_status":"0","recid":"78111","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Initial results of trapezoid geometry small animal DOI PET detector using SSLE"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T23:27:12.743149+00:00"}
