However, the cost for keeping a whole-body counter system in reliable condition is a burden as it requires space for installation and resources for frequent calibration. On the other hand, positron emission tomography (PET) is widely used for clinical applications. Recently, PET systems with single-based data acquisition are emerging since flexibility of their detectors does not require complex coincidence circuits for developing a new system. In this study, we focused on the single-based data acquisition function to be used for WBC application in an emergency. Compared with conventional WBC systems, the PET systems have a much larger number of detectors. Therefore, the PET-based WBC might have coarse position sensitivity even for single events by setting measurement subject close to the detectors. In addition, we proposed to insert a pinhole collimator ring inside the PET ring to identify the contamination position more accurately. We conducted a Monte Carlo simulation using the Geant4 toolkit to model single-based PET with the pinhole collimator ring insert. We modeled our whole-body DOI PET with the ring diameter of 660 mm as a single-based PET system. The material of the collimator ring was set to lead, and the ring diameter was set to 600 mm with the thickness of 10 mm and pinhole diameter of 5 mm. Point-like 131I sources could be successfully reconstructed. In conclusion, we showed the feasibility to use PET with the single-based DAQ system as a WBC with position sensitivity.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10005_description_6":{"attribute_name":"会議概要(会議名, 開催地, 会期, 主催者等)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"2019 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical Imaging Conference","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tashima, Hideaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"799605","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshida, Eiji"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"799606","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamaya, Taiga"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"799607","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tashima, Hideaki","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"799608","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshida, Eiji","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"799609","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamaya, Taiga","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"799610","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"conference object","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_c94f"}]},"item_title":"Feasibility of a PET system for whole-body counter application in a radiation emergency","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Feasibility of a PET system for whole-body counter application in a radiation emergency"}]},"item_type_id":"10005","owner":"1","path":["28"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2019-07-17"},"publish_date":"2019-07-17","publish_status":"0","recid":"77353","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Feasibility of a PET system for whole-body counter application in a radiation emergency"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T23:49:32.776521+00:00"}
