We have previously proposed that consecutive AA/TT dimer sequences in the entry side of +1 nucleosomes tend to unwrap more easily than those without AA/TT (Luo et al, NAR, 2018). To reveal sequence-dependent unwrapping in more detail, we conducted FRET measurement of reconstituted nucleosomes with sequences containing AA/TT repeat or containing the other dimer repeats.
