However, Be13Zr pebbles found out to exhibit the pest phenomenon at low temperatures and the disintegration to powdery caused by catastrophic oxidation. Results obtained from trial granulation experiments with modifications revealed the successful development of Be13Zr pebbles without the pest reaction with the addition of Si.
