There are several ways to implement staging in LWFA: (1) a single laser pulse and two acceleration stages and (2) two laser pulses and two acceleration stages. Between stages beam matching in transverse and longitudinal phase spaces is quite important to obtain high quality electron beams. Some example PIC simulation results are given to shown this effect. Several optics to perform transverse matching are introduced., Advanced Summer School on "Laser-Driven Sources of High Energy Particles and Radiation"}, title = {LWFA electrons: staged acceleration 2/2}, year = {2017} }
