We are studying the dynamics of the laser ablation process of metals by using the soft x-ray laser probe at the wavelength of 13.9 nm. The transient thin-film structures was observed in the several materials under the condition that near the ablation threshold. It was quite thin, dense and smooth so that it works as the soft x-ray beam splitter.
