This miniaturization concept inspired Isaac Asimov to novelize the movie, influenced Joe Dante and his work “Innerspace” (1987) and have an considerable impact on researchers in the fields of nanotechnology and nanometrology today. How can we survey in a cell in our body by “the Proteus” ? We addressed this question to get one step closer to the miniaturization dream. \n A variety of sensors were miniaturized to the nanometer scale by quantum materials and quantum technologies to measure temperature[1], magnetic field[2] and electric field[3], etc. Here, we described quantum sensor techniques using spin quanta in a single-particle nanodiamond for nanoscale measurements and super resolution imaging in vitro and in cells.
