However, chemical and spatial details of them are not known. We have developed a method-ology for estimating localization of AP sites using Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET). We have already found that carbon ion can produce clustered DNA dam-age regions within a track using dry DNA film as an irra-diation sample by the FRET methodology.
