However, chemical and spatial details of them are not known. We have developed a method-ology for estimating localization of AP sites using fluo-rescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). We have already found that carbon ion can produce clustered DNA damage regions within a track using dry DNA film as an irradiation sample by the FRET methodology. We applied the methodology to a cell-mimetic buffered DNA solution irradiated with carbon ion beam with LET of ~90 keV/m. As a result, we found that the carbon ion tends to produce more clustered AP sites compared with heat-acid treated DNA with Poisson distributed AP site., H27年度HIMAC共同利用研究成果発表会}, title = {重粒子線によるDNA損傷形態に関する研究}, year = {2016} }
