The relationship between LET and RBE for gamma ray and ion beam irradiations on B. subtilis spore is poorly understood. In this study, we investigated lethal effects and relationship between LET and RBE for gamma rays and different LET ion beams (4He2+, 12C5+, 20Ne8+, 40Ar13+) on the B. subtilis spores. The results showed that RBE of ion beams was dependent on the LET. 12C5+ with LET of 121.8 keV/μm showed the strongest lethal effect than those of other radiations. In the future, the detailed understanding and other effects of different LET radiations on B.subtilis is necessary., QST高崎サイエンスフェスタ2017}, title = {Effect of Ion Beam and Gamma-ray Irradiation on Survival Rate and Mutation Induction in Bacillus Subtilis Cells}, year = {2017} }
