We have tested in vitro an approach combining high-LET carbon-ion therapy and CSC-targeted therapy, based on the modulation of micro-RNA expression by specific oligonucleotides (mimics and antagomirs), in three experimental models (pancreatic cancer, chondrosarcoma and triple-negative breast cancer).
