Ability of detectors used in space to measure low LET particles is very important to evaluate the characteristics of the radiation in space. Though X-ray tubes and radio-active sources have been used to calibrate the responses of detectors for low LET particles in general, they are not suitable to calibrate the correct LET responses of the detectors because secondary electrons induced from energetic photons have broad LET spectrum. At present, personal dosimeters in common use are packages consisting from sort of luminescence detectors such as TLDs (thermo-luminescence dosimeter), OSLDs (optical stimulated luminescence dosimeter) and glass dosimeters to measure the low LET components and plastic nuclear track detectors to measure the high LET components. Thus, wide and uniform radiation fields to cover whole dosimeters are necessary to evaluate and calibrate LET dependencies of detectors for charged particles. We constructed a reference field using energetic proton and alpha particle beams accelerated by the AVF cyclotron at the NIRS Cyclotron facility.\nThe beams accelerated by the cyclotron are transported to the reference field through scatters and wobbling magnets to make the spread beam. The uniformity of intensity within 7 cm diameter is less than 5% at the reference field. A plane-parallel ionizing chamber with 14cm diameter aperture and a quick beam shutter are also installed on the beam line to expose the correct doses. The available beams are protons with energy from 30 to 80 MeV (LET in water is about 0.9 to 2 keV/µm) and alpha particles with energy 100 MeV (LET in water is about 10 keV/µm). The reference field can be used to various purposes like as irradiations to cells for radiobiological effect researches, testing of radiation hardness for materials, measuring the sensitivity of single event upsets (SEUs) for electric devices, and so on.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10005_description_6":{"attribute_name":"会議概要(会議名, 開催地, 会期, 主催者等)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Heavy Ion in Therapy and Space Radiation Symposium 2013","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kitamura, Hisashi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701836","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Uchihori, Yukio"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701837","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kodaira, Satoshi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701838","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hojo, Satoru"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701839","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sugiura, Akinori"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701840","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Okada, Takanori"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701841","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Takahashi, Yuichi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701842","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nakayama, Ryuji"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701843","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Goto, Akira"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701844","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"北村 尚","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701845","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"内堀 幸夫","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701846","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"小平 聡","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701847","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"北條 悟","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701848","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"杉浦 彰則","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701849","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"後藤 彰","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"701850","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"conference object","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_c94f"}]},"item_title":"Reference Field of Low LET Particles in the NIRS-Cyclotron Facility","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Reference Field of Low LET Particles in the NIRS-Cyclotron Facility"}]},"item_type_id":"10005","owner":"1","path":["28"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2013-12-03"},"publish_date":"2013-12-03","publish_status":"0","recid":"71381","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Reference Field of Low LET Particles in the NIRS-Cyclotron Facility"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T19:51:55.155863+00:00"}
