The operation is used to provide carbon-ion beams with various energies for scanned carbon-ion therapy. The energy range from 430 to 56 MeV/n is required from the treatment to vary the Bragg peak position. The number of the energy steps is about 200 in this range. The treatment demands the slowly extracted beam with high reliability and reproducibility of the properties, such as the position, size and spill, for all energies. To meet the requirements with small manual adjustments for less energy steps, the experiments were performed to study the systematic settings of beam- and device-parameters depending on extraction energy.
