Ten water samples per river were collected in 2002-2006 from the upper stream to the river mouth. Among elements measured, Na, Al, Cl, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Cd, and Pb are related to drinking water quality standards in Japan. The geometric means (GMs) of these element concentrations did not exceed the standard values.
