Although FGF11 subfamily members (FGF11-14) have structural similarity with FGF1, FGF11-14 possess unique C-terminal polypeptides. Novel cell-penetrating peptide domains (CPPC11-14) were identified from the C-terminal region of FGF11-14 proteins, which could readily deliver FGFs into cells independently of FGFRs. In this study, we created FGF1/CPPC fusion proteins (FGF1/CPPC11-14) following the alignment of FGF12 C-terminal region and evaluated the protective activity of FGF1/CPPC11-14 against radiation damage. FGF1/CPPC11-14 fusion proteins were internalized into the rat intestinal epithelial cell line IEC6 more efficiently than FGF1. However, the mitogenic activity of FGF1/CPPC12 through FGFR1c was less than that of FGF1. In contrast, FGF1/CPPC11-14 significantly reduced radiation-induced apoptosis in IEC6 cells in the presence of heparin, and the administration of FGF1/CPPC11-14 to BALB/c mice without heparin reduced the induction of apoptosis in hair bulbs 24 hafter irradiation. In addition, pre-treatment with FGF1/CPPC11-14 maintained K15 positive stem cells in the bulge after irradiation, although K15 positive stem cells decreased in anagen hair follicles after irradiation.\nThese findings indicate that FGF1/CPPC fusion proteins protect the hair follicles against radiation-induced injury and suggest that cellular internalization of FGF1/CPPC11-14 is involved in their activities independently of FGFRs.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10005_description_6":{"attribute_name":"会議概要(会議名, 開催地, 会期, 主催者等)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"International Investigative Dermatology EDINBURGH 2013","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nakayama, Fumiaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698778","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Umeda, Sachiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698779","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yasuda, Takeshi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698780","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Asada, Masahiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698781","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Imamura, Toru"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698782","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Imai, Takashi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698783","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"中山 文明","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698784","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"梅田 禎子","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698785","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"安田 武嗣","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698786","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"今井 高志","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"698787","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"conference object","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_c94f"}]},"item_title":"Enhanced cellular internalization of FGF1/CPPC fusion protein promoted its radioprotective effect in the hair follicles.","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Enhanced cellular internalization of FGF1/CPPC fusion protein promoted its radioprotective effect in the hair follicles."}]},"item_type_id":"10005","owner":"1","path":["28"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2013-05-14"},"publish_date":"2013-05-14","publish_status":"0","recid":"71094","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Enhanced cellular internalization of FGF1/CPPC fusion protein promoted its radioprotective effect in the hair follicles."],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T19:55:16.143317+00:00"}
