This necrosis-regeneration cycle would in theory be linked to neoplastic transformation of normal mucosal epithelia. However, the detailed mechanisms are still not fully understood. In this study, ulcerative colitis was induced in six-week-old C57BL/6J male mice by administering dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) for 7 days. Up until 3 weeks after DSS treatment, we examined temporal changes in gene expression during the mucosal regeneration process by microarray analysis. In addition, expression patterns for several interesting genes were independently confirmed by real-time quantitative RT-PCR. Differentially expressed genes were classified into 4 clusters with distinct expression patterns during mucosal regeneration by K-means clustering. Intriguingly, several genes associated with human colon cancer were strongly up-regulated during regeneration process; hence, these genes may be related with colon carcinogenesis in a repeated DSS-induced colitis model., 第71回日本癌学会学術総会}, title = {マウス潰瘍性大腸炎モデルの粘膜再生過程における遺伝子発現解析}, year = {2012} }
