They have made possible correct irradiation to complicated-shaped target and greatly improved the effect of radiotherapy. Meanwhile, for the patients who receive two or more radiotherapy because of a local recurrence and/or a remote metastasis, for physicians it is necessary to plan the radiation treatment so that the dose distribution would not overlap with previous radiation. Conventionally, a radiation oncologist determine a new plan by referring to a past radiation treatment plan visually. However, this work is very complex and difficult, and high skill is required of doctors. In this study, we tried to develop a next generation system to support designing multiple treatments with reliable and effective radiation, and the nonlinear registration method for aligning the intra-subject X-ray CT images obtained on another day was examined. The goal of this study is to combine the dose distribution of the repeated radiation therapy on the nominal CT-image atlas and to evaluate the tolerance dose of the each treated organs. This paper is the first step of the study., CARS2010 ( 24rd International Congress and Exhibition )}, title = {Radiation Dose Distribution Support System by Using Nonlinear Registration method; Application for DICOM-RT Information}, year = {2010} }
