Concentrations of 226Ra in the soils collected in southwestern Japan were higher than those in northeastern Japan; however, no correlations between 226Ra concentrations in crops and soils were observed. The TFs ranged from <0.001 to 0.058 with a geometric mean of 0.0064. These data were within the 95% confidential range of TF-Ra for several crops as reported in the IAEA Technical Reports Series No. 364.
