This scanner is designed to achieve not\nonly high spatial resolution but also high sensitivity using four-layered DOI detectors. The\nscanner has five-detector rings with the ring diameter of 390mm and each detector ring\nconsists of 24 DOI detectors. Since each 3D crystal position is given by controlling\nscintillation light path in the crystal block, the detector calibration procedure is very\ncomplicated and important for quantification of PET images.
