An advantage of this system, with utilized to the injection line, is to that it allows high-current ion-beam extraction from an ECR-ion source, because it can be operated with a large potential difference between the source and the extractor. The deceleration system is operated at a negative DC-voltage of around -10 kV, which is applied to the extractor and reduced to the ground potential by the decelerator. An electric field in the deceleration system was carefully designed by using a 3-dimensional field simulator. About a five-times intensity increase has been obtained for a 12C4+ beam at the cyclotron exit, as compared with the case where the new system is not used. Design studies of the decelerator as well as the result of a beam test are presented., 第11回イオン源国際会議(ICIS−05)}, title = {Low-energy Ion Decelerator for an External injection line at the NIRS-930 Cyclotron}, year = {2005} }
