This was performed using an incubator and a radiation detector located in the HIMAC biology beam room. NHEJ deficient 180BR cells (Ligase IV mutant) showed an immediate growth delay after about 10 m Gy accumulated exposure (~6 days) while there is no clear delay in normal as well as ataxia telangiectasia (AT) cells for more than 50 days. 180 BR cells in the HIMAC incubator also showed an accelerated senescence. These phenomena indicate the involvement of NHEJ proteins in the cell growth control. In order to access damage caused by low levels of high LET radiation as well as low levels of X-irradiation, we have measured cell growth in normal human fibroblasts exposed to 0.1 Gy carbon particles (LET=80 keV/um) and 0.1 Gy X-rays. A clear early senescence like growth retardation was observed in irradiated cells sooner than in control cells without radiation. These results indicate that even a small amount of radiation may lead to a negative biological effect in human cells., 第46回大会}, title = {低線量重粒子線の細胞成長への影響}, year = {2003} }
