 note = {The development of a screen monitor (SCN) system for the surveillance of scanned carbon therapy beams at the Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) is presented. The monitoring of the beam properties is achieved by a newly designed semi-nondestructive monitoring system, located at the High-Energy Beam Transport (HEBT) line, consisting of a thin fluorescent screen and a high-speed charged-couple device.
