After 3.5 days from the irradiation, a-GalCer was locally injected into the primary tumor. In a group of mice irradiated with gamma-rays, the combination therapy reduced lung metastases, but was not statistically significant. On the other hand, carbon-ions suppressed lung metastasis strongly by itself, so additive effects of combination therapy was not observed. Then, we performed the experiments with less doses, such as 4 or 6 Gy of carbon-ions. We modified the immunotherapy as followings. GalCer pulsed dendritic cells (DCs) were administered as combined therapy. The combination of gamma-rays did not significantly decreased lung metastases, but in the 6 Gy carbon-ion irradiated groups, combination therapy reduced significantly lung metastases. \nConclusions: This study indicated the efficacy of combination therapy., H20年度HIMAC共同利用研究 成果発表会}, title = {マウス腫瘍の重粒子線照射効果関連遺伝子群の網羅的解析}, year = {2009} }
