Not only to observe images but also to timely read diagnostic reports are very important. Some imaging examinations need the post-processing after the examination. When a diagnostic report is completed, the referring physician cannot read the report immediately in the clinical practice. Under such circumstances, we want to avoid the delayed reading of diagnostic reports. To settle this issue, we developed the notification system for logged-in users. In the Japanese out-patient clinics, many referring physicians have a tendency to observe examined images immediately without diagnostic reports. When the diagnostic report was delivered to a HIS (Hospital Information System), the referring physicians would finished the medical examination and would overlook findings out of their special field. This notification system will alert the referring physicians that the diagnostic report is ready for reading. We developed the notification system of the diagnostic report completion to increase the reliable use of the report and the effective communication., CARS2009 ( 23rd International Congress and Exhibition )}, title = {Notification System of Completed Diagnostic Reports by using IHE ITI EUA function in the PACS Environment}, year = {2009} }
