We considered that in 32 cases primary tumors were controlled and 4 cases recurred. They were treated with 72.0GyE in 9 fractions over 3 weeks. Primary lesions were irradiated by 4 portals. Follow-up evaluation with computed tomography (CT) was sequentially performed to assess changes in the lung. We referred to the classifications for lung reactions by Koenig et al. and Takeda et al. Radiographic changes in the lung were classified into three phases and measured the appearance period. A) The period up to appear the modified conventional pattern is median 5.2 months. B) The period up to appear the dense consolidation or mass-like pattern is median 8.6 months. C) The period up to fix as solid opacities or shrink is median 14.3 months. Knowledge of these findings is useful in the correct interpretation of CT scans after carbon ion therapy., H19年度HIMAC共同利用研究成果発表会}, title = {非小細胞肺癌重粒子線治療後のCT画像の変化と局所制御の関連性についての検討}, year = {2008} }
