A wealth of historical data and clinical experience led to the establishment of the isotope bone scan as the reference standard in the search for skeletal metastatic disease. However, in malignancies, bone scans are now used less often and are not considered routine in all cases of breast or prostate cancer. Essentially, bone scans are currently used only where there is an issue regarding staging or if the patient has bone symptoms.5,6 The most commonly used tracer for skeletal imaging in general nuclear medicine is 99mTc-Methylene diphosphonate (99mTc-MDP).7 Amino acid metabolism of cancer is associated with numerous catabolic processes favoring tumor growth.8 As an essential amino acid, L-methionine plays a central role in the altered metabolism of cancer cells.9 Increased uptake of MET as measured by PET has been suggested to reflect increased transport, transmethylation rate, and protein synthesis of malignant tissue.10-12 In this study, we evaluated the role of whole body (WB) PET 11C-Methionine imaging in the detection of skeletal\nmetastatic lesions in comparison to bone scintigraphy being the conventional screening method for bone metastasis.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10005_description_6":{"attribute_name":"会議概要(会議名, 開催地, 会期, 主催者等)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"第45回千葉核医学研究会","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Mahmoud, Abd-Elrazek Helmy Sherif"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617097","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshikawa, Kyosan"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617098","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hasebe, Mitsuhiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617099","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Ishikawa, Hiroyuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617100","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sagou, Kenji"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617101","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tanimoto, Katsuyuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617102","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Saga, Tsuneo"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617103","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tsujii, Hirohiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617104","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sherif Mahmoud Abd−Elrazek Helmy","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617105","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"吉川 京燦","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617106","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"長谷部 充彦","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617107","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"石川 博之","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617108","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"佐合 賢治","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617109","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"谷本 克之","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617110","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"佐賀 恒夫","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617111","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"辻井 博彦","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"617112","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"conference object","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_c94f"}]},"item_title":"Whole Body Methionine PET vs. Conventional Bone Scintigraphy for Early Detection of Metastatic Bone Lesions","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Whole Body Methionine PET vs. Conventional Bone Scintigraphy for Early Detection of Metastatic Bone Lesions"}]},"item_type_id":"10005","owner":"1","path":["29"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2008-02-28"},"publish_date":"2008-02-28","publish_status":"0","recid":"62451","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Whole Body Methionine PET vs. Conventional Bone Scintigraphy for Early Detection of Metastatic Bone Lesions"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T21:30:38.170081+00:00"}
