In addition, an array applicator composed of few thin microwave antcnnas is cmployed for the trcatment of large-volumed tumor. Study on the coaxial-slot antenna, which is one of the thin microwave antennas for interstitial heating, and improvement of the heating characteristics of the antennas to rcalize a localized heating only around the tip of the antenna have been performed.
