The Cut-Cell technique on the Cartesian grid has been developed based on IDO (Interpolated Differential Operator) scheme. DEM (Discrete Element Method) is used for the modeling of the elastic vessel and coupling with the fluid equation. In comparison with the rigid vessel wall, the maximum pressure decreases with the elastic wall, and the response of the flow velocity for the pulsatile injection is delayed owing to expanding the blood volume.
