In addition to the LET value of 13 KeV/mm for the in uterus irradiation, the LET values at 40, or 80 KeV/mm were also applied for the in vitro experiment. Both apoptosis induction and its related gene expression in the testis tissues after irradiation are under investigation. From the next year, the accomplishment of physiological markers and reflexes, body weight, testicular weight, condition of the seminiferous tubules, the numbers of germ cells and Sertoli cells will be measured in the prenatally irradiated male rats during their postnatal development.
