On the contrary, exposure to carbon beams during fetal period mainly affects cell survival. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying such difference in the effects between exposure to carbon beams and exposure to X-rays remain unknown. We have attemped to elucidate whether the changes of gene expression after exposure to heavy ions differ from those after X-rays in fetal brains. Approximatately 13,000 cDNA species have been scanned and it turned out that more than twenty genes among the genes scanned were differentially expressed between X-irradiated embryos and non-irradiated ones. One of the genes showing up-regulation was Rab6A. Expression of these genes was compared between brains exposed to carbon beams and those to X-ray, the changing pattern was different. We identified the genes as candidates for the migration-associated genes., 第25回日本神経科学・第45回日本神経化学合同大会}, title = {マウス大脳皮質層構築に低線量放射線照射が与える影響}, year = {2002} }
