The chromosomal damage analysis has been established, and is considered as \"gold standard\" of biodosimetry to estimate absorbed doses of higher than 0.5 Gy of radiation. On the other hand, biodosimetric technology for low absorbed dose around 0.1 Gy of radiation is now being developed. In this article, studies on biodosimetry are reviewed and outlined from the viewpoint of low-dose radiation. Additionally, our recent study of biodosimetry for the low absorbed dose of radiation using RNA indicator in the circulating blood from mice is described with the key points to obtain reproducible quantitative data in the experiments.
