Moreover, we aim to optimize conditions for the combination therapy. Materials and methods The mouse carcinoma cell lines (LLC, LM8, NR-S1) inoculated in a leg of mice were irradiated with a single dosage of carbon-ion (2 Gy, 290 MeV/nucleon, 6 cm SOBP). At 36 hours after irradiation, DC were injected into the mice. The numbers of lung metastasis were evaluated using pathological observations. Results We established the mouse metastasis model using lung cancer cell line, LLC, and osteosarcoma cell line, LM8. Under conditions that there are no significant affect growth of transplanted tumor by the treatments, the number of lung metastasis was significantly decreased by only the combined therapy, but not by single treatment, C-ion irrradiation or DC injection. This result indicated that the combination therapy were effective to these tumors. Next we investigated the condition of DC injection from subcutaneous or tail vein in addition to the local injection. Intravenous injection of DC was available to repression of lung metastasis as well as direct injection into tumor. This finding indicated that this combination therapy is available to patients with tumor who is difficult to perform local injection of DC.}, pages = {39--40}, title = {マウスモデルを用いた炭素イオン線治療と樹状細胞療法の併用療法の研究}, volume = {NIRS-M-251}, year = {2012} }
