The frequency of tumor induction increased with dose for carbon ions and gamma rays. A dose-response curve for 75 keV/um carbon ions was steeper than that for gamma rays, while a dose-response curve for 15 keV/um carbon ions was rather shallower than that for gamma rays. When isoeffect doses to induce 20 % tumor induction were used, resulting RBE values of carbon ions with15, 45 and 75 keV/um were 0.6, 1.0 and 1.4, respectively. Radiosensitivities of a tumor artificially composed of heterogeneous populations were studied. Tumors #6107 and #9037 are originally obtained by irradiating legs of C3H female mice with carbon ions and gamma rays, respectively. Cells from 5th generations of each tumor were mixed with ratios of 1 to 9 and 9 to1, and transplanted into hind legs. Dose-tumor growth delay time relationship of the heterogeneous tumors shifted toward that of radioresistant #9037 tumor after gamma-ray radiation. Contrarily, the dose-response relationship of heterogeneous tumors after 74 keV /um carbon ions shifted rather toward that of radiosensitive #6107 tumors.}, pages = {45--46}, title = {粒子線治療の腫瘍治療効果と障害に関する研究}, volume = {2007}, year = {2007} }
