To understand the contaminated situation of Chiba city, the fallout deposition of 131I and 137Cs and inventory of 137Cs in a soil were investigated at National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) located about 200 km south-southwest of FNPP. Sampling of the fallout deposition was carried out from 15 March to 22 April 2011. The largest depositions of 131I and 137Cs were observed at 21 March, 7:00-16:00. The day was the first rainy day around Kanto Plain after the emergency release of steam from FNPP on March 13 and 15. Radiation doses at NIRS were also increased after the largest deposition. The 137Cs inventory of the soils at NIRS was estimated to 13.2 kBq m-2.}, pages = {5--10}, publisher = {京都大学原子炉実験所}, title = {東京電力福島第一原子力発電所事故後の放医研における放射能調査}, year = {2012} }
