The correlation between the fasting levels of plasma glucose and the increasing rate of glycogen in the liver was statistically significant (Spearman: r=-0.758, p<0.05, n=10). This indicates that improvement in glycogen synthesizing ability may be beneficial for reducing the blood glucose level. 13C MR spectroscopy is useful for monitoring glycogen synthesis in vivo.}, title = {Monitoring of glycogen synthesis in liver of diabetic patients using 13C-MR spectroscopy}, volume = {15}, year = {2007} }
