The modified model was validated by participating in the Hypothetical Scenario of IAEA EMRAS, an international program for environmental model inter-comparison. The objective of the scenario was to analyze the consequences of a hypothetical acute atmospheric release of 10g of tritium, by considering various pathways in terms of tritium activity in biosphere compartments and products as well as their contributions to total dose of human exposure. The Tritium-EESAD model performed well, as well as the other seven model participants.
