A characteristic oscillation mode group composed of TE19,7-TE25,9-TE31,11-TE37,13 modes was selected to achieve uniform directionality for multi-frequency oscillation of RF beams oscillated at 104 GHz, 137 GHz, 170 GHz, and 203 GHz. A triode magnetron injection gun was equipped to obtain optimal oscillation conditions in any oscillation mode. The beams radiated from the output window are propagated towards the very similar direction because the radiated angles for each mode in an internal mode converter are almost coincident. By optimizing the oscillation conditions, high-power operations of 1.2 MW for 170 GHz, 1.0 MW for 104 GHz and 137 GHz in 2 s pulses. 0.9 MW for 203 GHz in 0.3 ms short-pulse and 0.42 MW in 5 s pulse have been achieved.}, pages = {531--537}, title = {Multi-Frequency, MW-Power Triode Gyrotron Having a Uniform Directional Beam}, volume = {38}, year = {2016} }
