FGF1 is capable of signaling through all subtypes of FGF receptors (FGFRs), whereas FGF7 and FGF10 activate only epithelial-specific subtype, FGFR2IIIb (FGFR2b). The present study compared the protective activity of FGF1, FGF7, and FGF10 and examined the profiles of FGFR expression in the jejunum of BALB/c mice given total body irradiation (TBI) with gamma-rays. TBI caused drastic increases in FGFR1-4 transcript levels in the jejunum. However, FGFR2b protein temporarily decreased at 12 and 24 h after irradiation. FGF1 pretreatment minimized the number of apoptotic cells in jejunal crypts at 16 and 24 h after irradiation and increased crypt survival most effectively. In addition, pretreatment with FGF7 or FGF10 decreased FGFR1 transcript levels. The greater effectiveness of FGF1 to enhance crypt survival was also observed even when each FGF was administered 1 h after irradiation. These findings indicate that FGF1 is more potent than FGF7 or FGF10 for protection of the intestine against radiation exposure, and suggest that the profiles of FGFR expression in the intestine favor the FGF1 signaling pathway before and during the initial period after irradiation.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_8_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0033-7587","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hagiwara, Akiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486315","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nakayama, Fumiaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486316","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Motomura, Kaori"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486317","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Asada, Masahiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486318","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Suzuki, Masashi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486319","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Imamura, Toru"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486320","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Akashi, Makoto"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486321","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"萩原 亜紀子","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486322","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"中山 文明","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486323","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"明石 真言","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"486324","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Comparison of expression profiles of several fibroblast growth factor receptors in the mouse jejunum: suggestive evidence for a differential radioprotective effect among major FGF family members and the potency of FGF1","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Comparison of expression profiles of several fibroblast growth factor receptors in the mouse jejunum: suggestive evidence for a differential radioprotective effect among major FGF family members and the potency of FGF1"}]},"item_type_id":"8","owner":"1","path":["1"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2017-11-22"},"publish_date":"2017-11-22","publish_status":"0","recid":"48385","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Comparison of expression profiles of several fibroblast growth factor receptors in the mouse jejunum: suggestive evidence for a differential radioprotective effect among major FGF family members and the potency of FGF1"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T23:28:43.250728+00:00"}
