In this research, newspaper headlines fromMarch2011toJanuary2012on the Fukushima incident were comprehensively collected and analyzed using text mining. Extracted data were\nalso compared to information transmitted via social media such as Twitter during the same period to examine the following four issues related to features of the two types of transmission, i.e., newspaper headlines and social media, and the relationship between information from the media and anxieties about the\nadverse effects of radiation on health.\n1) Over 10 months after the nuclear meltdown incident, the information most frequently provided by newspapers was that related to radiation mea-\nsurement and surveys but providing few articles directly related to adverse effects of radiation on health.\n2) Newspaper headlines combined multiple topics in short transmitted text while, at the same time, the limited information transmitted by social media\nwas exaggerated.\n3) Newspapers indirectly explained the adverse effects of radiation on health using concepts such as “danger/risk,” “safety,” “anxiety/dissatisfaction,”\nand “security.”\n4) Many articles used the term “danger/risk” in March 2011 before the degree of radiation exposure had been evaluated reliably.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_8_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"富士技術出版"}]},"item_8_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1881-2473","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"神田, 玲子"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"469105","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tsuji, Satsuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"469106","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yonehara, Hidenori"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"469107","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"神田 玲子","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"469108","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"辻 さつき","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"469109","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"米原 英典","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"469110","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Text Mining Analysis of Radiological Information from Newspapers as Compared with Social Media on the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Accident","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Text Mining Analysis of Radiological Information from Newspapers as Compared with Social Media on the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Accident"}]},"item_type_id":"8","owner":"1","path":["1"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2014-12-16"},"publish_date":"2014-12-16","publish_status":"0","recid":"46994","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Text Mining Analysis of Radiological Information from Newspapers as Compared with Social Media on the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Accident"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-15T23:45:11.035800+00:00"}
