METHODS: Fifty patients with histologically confirmed non-Hodgkin lymphoma underwent an (18)fluoro-2-deoxyglucose (FDG)-PET scan, followed by a CT scan. CT alone, PET alone, side-by-side reading, and fused images were interpreted separately and visually using a five-point grading scale for the following eight regions: cervical, supraclavicular, axillary, mediastinal, para-aortic to iliac, mesenteric, inguinal, and extra-nodal. Diagnostic accuracy was compared on the basis of the final diagnoses determined by histological confirmation and/or clinical course. RESULTS: For all regions combined, the interpretation of PET alone (sensitivity = 86.1%, specificity = 99.4%, accuracy = 91.0%), side-by-side reading (96.0%, 99.4%, 98.9%), and fused images (98.0%, 99.4%, 99.2%) yielded significantly higher diagnostic performance than that of CT alone (59.4%, 96.1%, 91.0%; P < 0.001). The cervical, supraclavicular, and extra-nodal regions were more accurately diagnosed with PET (P < 0.05), whereas the para-aortic to iliac regions were diagnosed more accurately with side-by-side reading and fused images than with CT alone or PET alone (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Although fused images are clinically valuable, side-by-side reading showed equivalent performance, whereas the interpretation of PET alone yielded reasonably high diagnostic performance for restaging or follow-up of patients with malignant lymphoma.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_8_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0914-7187","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nogami, Munenobu"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447924","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nakamoto, Yuji"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447925","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sakamoto, Setsu"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447926","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Fukushima, Kazuto"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447927","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Okada, Tomohisa"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447928","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Saga, Tsuneo"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447929","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Higashi, Tatsuya"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447930","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Senda, Michio"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447931","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Matsui, Toshimitsu"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447932","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sugimura, Kazuro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447933","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"佐賀 恒夫","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"447934","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Diagnostic performance of CT, PET, side-by-side, and fused image interpretations for restaging of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Diagnostic performance of CT, PET, side-by-side, and fused image interpretations for restaging of non-Hodgkin lymphoma."}]},"item_type_id":"8","owner":"1","path":["1"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2008-03-04"},"publish_date":"2008-03-04","publish_status":"0","recid":"45106","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Diagnostic performance of CT, PET, side-by-side, and fused image interpretations for restaging of non-Hodgkin lymphoma."],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-16T00:07:37.276998+00:00"}
