The effect would then appear as an increase in high charge state production in this case of C5+ ions. In \"regular\" gas-mixing experiments it is well known that an isotopic phenomenon occurs: a heavier isotope of the mixing gas is increasing the production of high charge states of the beam gas ions. A similar isotopic effect has been found in the present experiment: with deuterated methane (CD4 gas) the C5+ beam currents are about 10% higher than with regular methane (CH4 gas). The \"mixing-gas\" ratio D (or H) to C can be decreased by choosing, e.g., butane gas; in this case the isotopic effect for C5+ production is even stronger (> 15%). For production of C4+ ions the isotopic effect appears to be absent. Clearly this is related to the much easier production. It turns out that the relative amount of carbon is much more important: butane gives about 10% higher C4+-ion currents than methane.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_8_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0034-6748","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Drentje, Arne"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443969","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Muramatsu, Masayuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443970","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kitagawa, Atsushi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443971","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Arne Drentje","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443972","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"村松 正幸","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443973","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"北川 敦志","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443974","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Optimizing C4+ and C5+ beams of the Kei2 electron cyclotron resonance ion source using a special gas-mixing technique","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Optimizing C4+ and C5+ beams of the Kei2 electron cyclotron resonance ion source using a special gas-mixing technique"}]},"item_type_id":"8","owner":"1","path":["1"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2006-11-24"},"publish_date":"2006-11-24","publish_status":"0","recid":"44719","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Optimizing C4+ and C5+ beams of the Kei2 electron cyclotron resonance ion source using a special gas-mixing technique"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-16T00:12:09.223973+00:00"}
