Resonant neutral-particle emissions have been observed at a collision energy of about 4.5 eV for some of them. The resonance parameters depend on DNA base composition and sequence, and the resonances occur only in oligonucleotide monocations with base stacking. The resonance widths increase with oligonucleotide length, but saturate at trimers.
