Principal questionnaire\nstudies suggest that men and women have different modules to process\ncues of sexual and emotional infidelity. We aimed to elucidate the\nneural response to sentences depicting sexual and emotional infidelity\nin men and women using functional magnetic resonance imaging.\nAlthough there was no sex difference in the self-rating score of jealousy\nfor sexual and emotional infidelity, men and women showed different\nbrain activation patterns in response to the two types of infidelity.\nDuring jealous conditions, men demonstrated greater activation than\nwomen in the brain regions involved in sexual/aggressive behaviors\nsuch as the amygdala and hypothalamus. In contrast, women\ndemonstrated greater activation in the posterior superior temporal\nsulcus. Our fMRI results are in favor of the notion that men and\nwomen have different neuropsychological modules to process sexual\nand emotional infidelity. Our findings might contribute to a better\nunderstanding of the neural basis of the jealousy-related behaviors\npredominantly observed in males.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_8_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1053-8119","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Takahashi, Hidehiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443089","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Matsuura, Masato"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443090","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yahata, Noriaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443091","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Koeda, Michihiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443092","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Suhara, Tetsuya"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443093","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Okubo, Yoshiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443094","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"高橋 英彦","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443095","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"須原 哲也","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443096","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"大久保 善朗","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"443097","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Men and women show distinct brain activations during imagery of sexual and emotional infidelity","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Men and women show distinct brain activations during imagery of sexual and emotional infidelity"}]},"item_type_id":"8","owner":"1","path":["1"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2006-09-20"},"publish_date":"2006-09-20","publish_status":"0","recid":"44613","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Men and women show distinct brain activations during imagery of sexual and emotional infidelity"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-16T00:13:23.866516+00:00"}
