内容記述 Advanced breeding functional materials, neutron multiplying materials and tritium breeding materials for JA DEMO applications are essential to achieve a high tritium breeding ratio (TBR) in the JA DEMO blanket.The latest blanket concept for JA DEMO has been changed from loading a mixture of beryllide pebbles and Li2TiO3 pebbles in honeycomb structures to loading beryllide blocks and Li2TiO3 pebbles in cylindrical structures.QST has established to produce the Be12V pebbles by a rotating electrode process and recently has been enthusiastically dedicated to establish the database of beryllides (Be12Ti). In addition, we have succeeded in producing the Li2TiO3 pebbles as well as advanced pebbles, Li added Li2TiO3 and Li added Li2TiO3 with Li2ZrO3 solid solution (LTZO) using an emulsion process.In terms of R&D on characterization, we have carried out a wide range of R&D activities based on the requirements of blanket design, thermal properties, mechanical properties, chemical stability with atmospheres and other materials, irradiation properties and so on.In this presentation, the current R&D on advanced functional materials in JA DEMO activities will be presented. In addition, the refinement and recycling process of these materials established by the QST will be addressed by applying the innovative refining process with chemical reaction and microwave heating.
