| 内容記述 | The MHD stability in the HC ITER-scale HC equilibrium is assessed using a 3-D full MHD simulation code. We found that the equilibrium itself is unstable to the pressure-driven MHD mode localized along the compressed flux region of HC. We concluded that this pressure-driven mode is a cluster of the ballooning mode coupled by HC. For the energetic-particle-driven MHD mode, a broad spectrum of low-frequency modes is found to be unstable. This mode becomes unstable at the high bulk plasma beta; hence, it may limit the maximum operating pressure in ITER. | |||||||
