| 内容記述 | Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) is a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecule in human and is critical for anti-tumor immunity in the host. To investigate the impact of heavy-ion irradiation on anti-tumor immune responses in gynecologic cancers, we conducted immunohistochemical analyses to evaluate protein expression of HLA-I on cell surface of clinical samples from the patients of uterine cervical adeno/adenocarcinoma (UCAA) that underwent heavy-ion radiotherapy (HIRT). Of the 55 UCAA patients, 31 who underwent pre-HIRT and post-12 Gy-HIRT tumor biopsies were used for this study. All clinical samples were obtained from a single center. Of 31 samples examined, 93% of the samples were positive for HPV. Pre-HIRT HLA-I positive (over 50% of cells) was 4 and partial positive (5-50% of cells) was 13 samples. In contrast, post-HIRT HLA-I positive was 14 and partial positive was 10 samples. This study demonstrated that HIRT can restore immune recognition in UCAA cells, warranting favorable combination with immunotherapy. This abstract is an encore abstract. | |||||||||
