We demonstrate the development of a high-power, femtosecond light source around 2000 nm based on an OPCPA pumped by an Yb:YAG thin-disk laser and its application to HHG up to 620 eV well beyond the water window region. This laser-based soft x-ray has been applied to x-ray absorption near edge structure measurements of gaseous media. |
